3 men sought in killing of employee at Carney takeout

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Baltimore County police are searching for three men wanted for questioning in an armed robbery and homicide at a takeout restaurant in Carney 10 days ago.

The three men, all described as African-American and 20 to 30 years old, were seen in the area before the robbery and fatal shooting at Wings Things 'n' More, in the 3000 block of E. Joppa Road, on the night of Nov. 23, police said.

Three masked men walked into the restaurant about 11:40 p.m. and demanded money, authorities said. During the robbery, one of the men fatally shot employee Raheel Kamal, 18, of the 3900 block of Mewswood Lane in Perry Hall.

Kamal, a part-time student at the Catonsville campus of Community College of Baltimore County, was shot once in the head while sitting in a booth with three other employees, police said.

Kamal had emigrated to the United States from Pakistan. He had received a student visa in August and was taking classes in business administration.

Police said that after taking an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the men fled on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information to call county police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
