Ahern, Julia Cyril

JULIA AHERN, 88, of Williamsburg, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2002. Born January 11, 1941 in Baltimore, MD she was raised in the Irvington-Catonsville area and married her high school sweetheart. She raised her family in Ridgewood, NJ and worked as a saleswoman for 30 years. She was a member of and lifetime volunteer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Alfred Geary Ahern. Julia is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Pat and Bob Arvidson of Williamsburg, VA and Julie and Dennis Nelson of Lake Tahoe, NV; her sons and daughters-in-law Geary and Mary Ahern of Nyack, NY, Jim and Sandy Ahern of Springfield, VA, Tim and Eileen Ahern of Alexandria, VA and Larry and Debbie Ahern of Marietta, GA and her grandchildren Peggy Arvidson-Dailey, Bob and Kathy Arvidson, Sean, Dan, Jason, Tom, J.J., Johnny, Chris, Julie, Catherine, Lisa and Tim Ahern. Services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA on Monday, November 25. Viewing from 10:00 to 12:30 P.M. and a Funeral Mass at 1:00 P.M. She will be interred next to her husband at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ on Tuesday, November 26 following a graveside service. Arrangements by Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg, VA. Suddenly on Novmeber 22, 2002 ALAN Eugene WILSON; beloved son of Dr. Vera I. Wilson and Elmer E. Jones; adopted son of the late Steve Wilson; dear brother of Bronwyn Smalley and her husband Booker; loving uncle of Ryan Christopher Wilson. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the Witzke Funeral Homes INc., 5555 Twin Knolls Rd., Columbia on Wednesday 10 to 10:30 A.M., at which time a memorial service will begin. Interment private.
