Mech, Vogel join board of directors of Vantage House
Ann Mech, coordinator for legal affairs for the University of Maryland School of Nursing and chair of the Howard County Board of Health, has joined the board of directors of Vantage House Life Care Retirement Community in Columbia. She lives in Dayton.
Richard Vogel, senior vice president of Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. and a resident of Columbia, also has joined the board.
Other board members are Marsha G. Ansel, Penny L. Boughn, Douglas M. Brooks, Jean S. Brunstetter, James Burns Jr., Jody L. Clark, Rosemary A. Davis, Janet P. Haddad, Adele K. Levine, Richard G. McCauley, Margaret Goodman Richlin, Dorothy L. Rodbell, Barney Sellers, K. Stanley Sokolove, Virginia M. Thomas and Ethel Ward.
Brunstetter and Ward are residents of Vantage House, a not-for-profit retirement community.
Community services group honors Carol Beatty
Carol A. Beatty, executive director of the Arc of Howard County, has received the President's Award of the Maryland Association of Community Services.
The award recognizes leadership and dedication in furthering the vision of the association, an organization for providers of services to people with developmental disabilities.
The Arc of Howard County provides vocational and residential support, and services, respite care, educational advocacy and other programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
PCA Group appoints Duvall a staff accountant
Matthew Craig Duvall of Columbia has joined the accounting and auditing team of PCA Group as a staff accountant.
