EDGEWOOD M-y Harford County sheriff's deputies are searching for a 24-year-old Havre de Grace man in connection with a shooting Monday evening in Edgewood, a department spokeswoman said yesterday.
Deputies issued an arrest warrant for Kory B. Putney of the 100 block of Stansbury Court, charging him with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of a handgun during the commission of a felony, said Ginger Rigney, sheriff's office spokeswoman.
John Bolden, 43, of the 2100 block of Kalmia Road, northeast of Bel Air, was shot twice in the abdomen about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Windstream Way after he and his son, Reginald Bolden, 18, went in search of Putney, whom they believed had broken into Reginald Bolden's home on Forge Hill Road in Bel Air earlier in the day, Rigney said.
About 6 p.m. Monday, two masked men broke into a basement window of Reginald Bolden's home and held guns to the heads of Bolden and a female relative, Rigney said, before locking Bolden in a bathroom and holding the woman at gunpoint in a bedroom. The gunmen took an undetermined amount of cash from the home, she said.
Anyone with information about Putney's whereabouts is asked to call Detective Tom Walsh at 410-836-5408 or Harford County Crime Solvers' 24-hour hot line at 1-888-540-TIPS.
