Caring and Sharing Ministries of Taneytown will hold its annual Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.
Pastors and lay people from various churches will participate, with a combined choir.
Pastor Nicholas Brie from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church will be the preacher.

New Windsor church to hold community worship
St. Paul's United Methodist Church will hold a community Thanksgiving Eve worship at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary.
The Community Chorus will sing and clergy from various churches and community leaders will speak.

Pleasant Valley Lions plan basket bingo Nov. 30
Valley Lions Club of Pleasant Valley will hold basket bingo night featuring retired Longaberger baskets Nov. 30 at the Pleasant Valley fire hall.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and games will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
Extra cards, jackpots and raffles will be available for an additional fee.
Sandwiches, desserts and other refreshments will be sold.
Proceeds will benefit the Lions' community service projects.

Holiday ornament class scheduled Dec. 3 at library
Taneytown library branch, 10 Grand Drive, will offer:
Family Story Time for all ages (age 3 and younger must be with an adult) on "I'm Feeling Fine" at 9:45 a.m. today and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
"Christmas Creations" for adults at 7 p.m. Dec. 3. Participants will make a quick ornament for their tree and learn how to make other decorations. Registration is required.
