Student-Alumni Arts of Howard Community College will present its 2002 Student Fine Arts Celebration from today to Dec. 15.
The festivities begin with a reception and an exhibit of student artwork from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the college's Art Gallery. The show runs through Dec. 12.
Hellcab, a Student-Alumni Arts production, will run from Dec. 6 to Dec. 15 at Theatre Outback. The play follows a day in the life of a Chicago cabdriver a few days before Christmas. Tickets are $8 to $10. The production includes strong language and mature themes. Tickets: 410-772-4900.
Yo' Mama's Cookin' Improv Group will present its final fall interactive performance at 8 p.m. Dec. 12 in Theatre Outback.
Passing Thru Playhouse Productions Touring Troupe will perform Cheesy-Silly Tales, fairytales with a twist for children of all ages, at 2 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Galleria.
The HCC Cello Ensemble and String Orchestra will perform works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Antonin Dvorak and Peter Warlock at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at Smith Theatre.
Student musicians, dancers, a jazz ensemble, a faculty quartet, the HCC Singers and the HCC Introduction to the Creative Arts class are also scheduled to perform. Most events are free.
