The Orioles have added outfielder Darnell McDonald and pitcher Daniel Cabrera to their major-league roster, giving them 39 players on the 40-man list.
Teams were required to set 40-man rosters by last night in advance of baseball's winter meetings Dec. 12-16 in Nashville, Tenn. Players not on the roster who have been professionals for four seasons (if drafted in college) or five (if drafted out of high school) can be selected in the Rule 5 draft.
