Police were seeking two people, one of whom might have been shot by a police officer, after the pair nearly ran down the officer with a car in Southwest Baltimore last night.
Officers had approached the car in the 200 block of S. Catherine St. about 9:30 p.m. after observing what appeared to be drug activity involving its two occupants and two men outside it, and the shots were fired as the driver sped toward an officer.
The men on the street were arrested on drug charges, but the others managed to get away in the car, police said.
In another incident last night, a Western District officer checking a sport utility vehicle on Moreland Avenue about 8:30 p.m. saw a man point what appeared to be a gun before speeding away. A pursuit ended on North Avenue when the SUV hit several parked cars and collided with a Ford Taurus, in which an occupant was injured. The driver of the SUV fled on foot.
