Upper-level road at BWI to be closed for 6 hours Dec. 4

The upper-level road at BWI will be closed from midnight to 6 a.m. Dec. 4 for construction of the Pier D skywalk.

Traffic will be directed to the lower level and might be stopped periodically. Motorists are encouraged to use the parking garage when picking up and dropping off passengers.

Nov. 20 designated for employee appreciation

BWI Airport Employee Appreciation Day will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday on the upper level of the observation gallery.

The day was designated by the BWI Development Council, which is made up of volunteers from the business community.

Delta to begin flying Boeing 767-300 to Atlanta

Delta Airlines will begin using the Boeing 767-300, which seats 252 passengers, for one of its daily flights to Atlanta.

Delta will add one flight using the wider plane in January and another flight in February.
