Bodine Coline Yorkman, 67, public school teacher

Bodine Coline Yorkman, a retired Baltimore City public school educator, died of complications from multiple sclerosis Nov. 11 at her Northwest Baltimore home. She was 67.

Mrs. Yorkman, who was known as "Bo," was born Bodine Coline Mosby in Philadelphia. She was raised in Baltimore, where she graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1953.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Coppin State College in 1957 and a master's degree in education from Morgan State College, now Morgan State University. She also took graduate courses at Loyola College.

Mrs. Yorkman began teaching in 1958. During her career, she taught at Alexander Hamilton and Mary E. Rodman elementary schools, from which she retired in 1991.

She enjoyed playing pinochle and thoroughbred racing.

Services for Mrs. Yorkman will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 1121 W. Lanvale St.

Mrs. Yorkman is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mark Anthony Yorkman; a daughter, Marquetta Bodine "Maryce" Yorkman of Baltimore; a sister, Janet Winston of California; and many nephews and nieces.
