Brian M. Fink, a self-employed handyman and Pigtown resident, was found dead Nov. 10 near the Maryland Transit Administration's light rail line in Bolton Hill. He was 28.
Mr. Fink's body was found on the MTA's right of way between the Mount Royal and North Avenue stations. According to an MTA spokeswoman yesterday, his death remains under investigation by city and MTA police.
Mr. Fink, who was born in Baltimore and raised in Pigtown, attended city public schools.
Known as a "go-to-your-home" auto mechanic, Mr. Fink also worked as a self-employed home restoration and maintenance specialist in Baltimore.
"He was an angel of mercy to the owners of aging properties and cars in Bolton Hill, Union Square and Pigtown," said R. Emmett Robertson III of Bolton Hill. "He had good basic skills with an attention to details, and really put himself into his work."
He enjoyed playing golf at Carroll Park in Southwest Baltimore, and crabbing and fishing in the Gwynns Falls.
Mr. Fink attended Martini Lutheran Church in Baltimore.
Plans for services were incomplete yesterday.
Mr. Fink is survived by a son, Austin King; three daughters, Brianna Fink, Destiny King and Kaitlin Fink; and his parents, Michael and Sharon Fink, all of Pigtown; and a sister, Lisa Kates of Linthicum Heights.
