Wormald Homes breaks ground in Frederick Co.
Wormald Custom Homes, a division of the Wormald Companies, has broken ground at its newest community, The Preserve at Maryland National Golf Club, in Middletown.
The Preserve will be an enclave of 10 executive residences. The homes are priced from the mid-$700,000 and up.
Lots will be offered in the 2- to 5-acre range.
Maryland National Golf Club is a 194-acre facility. The 6,811-yard course was designed by Arthur Hill and opened in June.

Winchester Homes helps in tree-planting
Winchester Homes presented a check for $10,000 from the Weyerhaeuser Corp. Foundation to Tree-Mendous Maryland at a recent tree-planting event in Howard County.
Volunteers from Winchester Homes, the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County planted 200 trees and shrubs in a barren stream valley along Route 100 in Elkridge.
According to Terry Galloway, director of Tree-Mendous Maryland, the $10,000 donation will be used to promote "the gift of trees" and for seedlings and other items.
