A woman was fatally stabbed and a man was seriously wounded at an apartment near Catonsville last night in what Baltimore County police described as a domestic incident.

About 6:30 p.m., county police received a 911 call from a man outside a Cedar Run Apartments building in the 300 block of Sunshine Place, saying an accident had occurred, said Bill Toohey, a police spokesman.

Officers found a 36-year-old injured man outside, and a woman, 35, lying dead with stab wounds in a ground-level apartment. Police said the two lived across the hall from each other.

Toohey said the man was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
