Northeastern District
Stolen vehicle/officer injured: Members of the Regional Auto Theft Task Force were in the 5800 block of Waycross Road about 6:40 p.m. yesterday when they saw a stolen car occupied by three males. Two were arrested and one escaped. During the incident, one officer was hurt when a police car and the stolen car collided. The officer suffered cracked ribs and was treated at a local hospital.
Robbery try/shooting: Oleg Lakimovitch, 33, a driver for Atwater Cab Co., was parked outside a house in the 3900 block of Dudley Ave. about 12:25 a.m. yesterday waiting for a fare when a gunman demanded his money. When the cabbie put the car in gear while pushing the gun away, the weapon discharged, striking him in the right wrist. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Southwestern District
Armed robbery: A man, 20, was walking in the 1600 block of Walnut Ave. about 1 a.m. Sunday when two men, one armed with an assault rifle and the other a handgun, robbed him of $110.
Home invasion/assault: Three men, one known as "Black," assaulted a man, 40, at the door of his home in the 2600 block of Lehman St. about 8:30 a.m. Sunday. When the men pushed the victim inside, he ran to the second floor, retrieved a hammer and forced them to flee.
Baltimore County
Wilkens Precinct
Robbery: Two masked men, one with a handgun, robbed High's dairy store in the first block of Frederick Ave. in Catonsville of more than $200 and nearly $50 worth of cigarettes about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Towson Precinct
Burglary: Jewelry, a camera and three piggy banks holding coins were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 500 block of Anneslie Road by someone who entered through a window.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: Video games and their accessories - all valued at more than $400 - were stolen from an apartment in the first block of E. Padonia Road between Friday and Sunday.
Woodlawn Precinct
Stabbing: Police were seeking a 28-year-old prostitute who stabbed a man, 37, from Southwest Baltimore, early Saturday with a knife as they argued in a room at Motel 6 in the 1600 block of Whitehead Road. The man was not seriously injured.
