THE BALTIMORE SUN

THOMAS F., age 72, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, moved on to a better life on Tuesday, November 5, 2002. Tom met his wife, Francoise (Sisse), while serving two years in France as a Buck Sergeant for the US Army. He was self-motivated, had high expectations of himself, and instilled the same values in his children. He attended college while working full-time to support a family and became the first person in his family to obtain a college degree. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a BS in Math he went work as a mechanical engineer at Westinghouses Aerospace Division for 11 years. Two of his patented designs were used in NASAs Gemini space program. In 1964, he and Sissie moved back to France to raise their three children. He spent one year working for the French Space Research Agency then another 15 years working for IBM France as an electrical engineer. Tom was a devoted, loving and generous father. He is survived by his three children, Mark Radecke of Charlotte, NC; Carl Radecke of Inver Grove Heights, MN; and Kristine Aubrey of Singapore; and his seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas, Sr., and Rose (nee Novak) Radecke. Tom was catholic and, a few days before dying, affirmed his faith in Christ. He will be missed by all those who love him. Funeral Services were Saturday at 11 A.M. at JOSEPH S. KLECATSKY & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1580 Century Point in Eagan, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery on Monday, November 11, 2002 at 11 A.M. in Baltimore, Maryland. Memorials preferred to either MN Hospice (mnhospice.org) or Make Wish Foundation (www.wish.org).
