Jan Hayden, sales associate and assistant manager with the Ellicott City/Enchanted Forest office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has been installed as the 2003 president of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors. Hayden, a 23-year real estate veteran, was the 2002 GBBR president-elect.

The Catonsville resident has been honored in the past as the Distinguished Sales Associate by both the Maryland Association of Realtors and the GBBR. She is a life member and past president of the Real Estate Million Dollar Association. Hayden sold and listed more than $8 million in properties in 2001.

She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and worked as a social worker before entering real estate. Hayden serves as church lay leader, vacation Bible school director and treasurer of United Methodist Women at West Baltimore United Methodist Church, and volunteers as a mentor in partnership with Coldwell Banker and the Maryland Mentoring Partnership at Medfield Heights Elementary School.

She has worked on 18 homes with Habitat for Humanity in the Waverly area of Baltimore.
