After surviving its 20-game regular season without defeat, the Navy women's soccer team was beaten, 2-1, in double overtime last night by American (9-8-2) in the semifinals of the Patriot League tournament in West Point, N.Y.
Navy (16-1-4) was the lone unbeaten team in the nation for 24 hours, after Charlotte was defeated in the semifinals of the Conference USA Tournament Thursday night.
Loyola 2, Siena 1: The Greyhounds scored twice in the first half en route to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference semifinal win at Marist College. Loyola's Annie DiPalo scored at 20:26 and Naomi Daniels at 36:17.
Rider, which beat Fairfield, 2-1, in double overtime, faces the Greyhounds for the MAAC title tomorrow at noon.
North Carolina 4, Maryland 0: The second-ranked Tar Heels rolled past the No. 16 Terps in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament semifinals in Tallahassee, Fla. Top seed North Carolina will face Clemson tomorrow for the title.

Salisbury 1, York 0: Senior forward Matt Bowman's unassisted goal in the 84th minute lifted the second-seeded and host Sea Gulls (14-2-1) to their ninth straight trip to the Capital Athletic Conference championship game.
Salisbury plays at top-seeded Mary Washington today.
Loyola 2, Manhattan 0: Juliano Adriano de Oliveira scored on a 20-yard volley in the 36th minute and Niall Lepper added an insurance goal less than four minutes later as the host Greyhounds clinched the MAAC regular-season championship.
Maryland 1, Mt. St. Mary's 0: Domenic Mediate lifted the 11th ranked Terps (14-3) to an overtime victory in the 113th minute.
Field hockey
Maryland 3, North Carolina 2: The third-seeded Terrapins (16-3) overcame a two-goal halftime deficit and topped the second-seeded Tar Heels (9-11) in overtime in the ACC tournament semifinals in Durham, N.C.
Jackie Ciconte finished off a pass from forward Colleen Barbieri with just over two minutes to play in the extra period to lift the Terrapins into the championship game.
