The Glenelg High School Booster Club will sponsor a Choir and Orchestra Basket Bingo at 7 p.m. today at the Freedom fire hall in Sykesville. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Refreshments will be served in lieu of dinner. Baskets filled with gifts will be given as prizes. Door prizes are also planned. Members of the school's staff will be on hand. Admission is $15 in advance; $20 at the door, if tickets are still available. Twenty games of bingo are included, as well as three special games and several raffles.

Music club selling cases of fruit as fund-raiser
The River Hill High School Music Boosters are selling citrus fruit from Florida, delivered to the school within a few days of being picked. Whole and half-cases of navel oranges and red grapefruit are available. Tangerines may be ordered in half-case boxes.
Proceeds will help pay for a spring trip and other music-related expenses.

Anniversary show: The Glenelg High School drama department will present a 30-year anniversary production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The show was last produced at Glenelg in 1972. Open house: Woodmont Academy, an independent Catholic grade school for children in kindergarten through eighth grade, will hold an open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17. Adopt a cat: Howard County Cat Club seeks homes for barn cats. The cats are neutered or spayed and have been tested and vaccinated. Most are tame but prefer to live outdoors.
