Virginia W. Hebb, 87, homemaker

Virginia W. Hebb, a homemaker and former Guilford resident, died of a stroke Oct. 31 at Heartfields at Easton, an assisted-living facility. She was 87.

Born Virginia Woodall in Crumpton, she was raised in Kenton, Del., where she graduated from public schools. In 1939, she married Charles P. Hebb Sr., who owned Ideal Transfer Co., a trucking company, and Hebb Produce Co. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Hebb, who moved to Easton this year, worked for the American Heart Association in Baltimore from 1965 to 1985.

She enjoyed reading, visiting Ocean City and traveling.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation, 4 E. University Parkway, where Mrs. Hebb was a communicant.

Survivors include a son, Ronald W. Hebb of Pasadena; three daughters, Carol H. Landrum of Santa Fe, N.M., Sharon H. Braden of Centreville and Virginia P. Hebb of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Jesse Woodall of Harrington, Del., and Franklin Woodall of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Another son, C. Parrish Hebb Jr., died in 1987.
