New Windsor Methodist church to hold yearly craft fair Saturday

St. Paul's United Methodist Church will hold its annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church in New Windsor.

Holiday gifts, crafts, decorations and foods will be featured. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Taneytown theater group to present talent show

Taneytown Area Recreation Council's Taneytown Theater Troupe will hold a talent show from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday at Northwest Middle School.

Local actors and musicians will perform. The cost is $1.

The school is at 99 Kings Drive.

All-you-can-eat breakfast set for Union Bridge hall

Union Bridge Fire Company will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday at the fire hall.

The menu will include sausage and sausage gravy, hominy, home fries, scrambled eggs, baked apples, biscuits, muffins, juice and coffee.

The cost is $5; $2 for children age 6 to 12; and younger than age 5 eat for free.

Taneytown fire company to hold bingo bonanza

Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 will hold a bingo bonanza Nov. 23 at the activities building on the Taneytown Carnival Grounds.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and a turkey platter will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Games will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and include full dinner and card package. Tables are available for groups.

Union Bridge woman majoring in journalism

Susan Baltic of Union Bridge has enrolled in Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications to major in newspaper journalism.

Baltic is among 3,100 first-year and transfer students at the New York university this academic year.

Play group: Pleasant Valley Play Group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, 1427 Pleasant Valley Road. Keymar: Chris and Jessica Lookingbill are the parents of a 5 pound, 1.5 ounce son, Austin Caleb, born at 9:55 p.m. Oct. 20 at Carroll County General Hospital.
