Louise D. Bonner, 92, homemaker, gardener

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Louise D. Bonner, a homemaker who worked many years ago at Friends School, died of heart failure Wednesday at the Wesley Home in Mount Washington. She was 92.

Louise Dreyer, who was known as "Bebe," was born in Baltimore and raised in Forest Park. After graduating from Friends School in 1928, she worked during the early 1930s as a dietitian and secretary at the school.

In 1933, she married Thomas M. Bonner Jr., owner of Fitch Dustdown & Co., which sold janitorial supplies, and they made their home for many years on Keswick Road in Roland Park. Her husband died in 1981.

During World War II, she volunteered with the Red Cross, USO and in veterans hospitals. Before moving to Roland Park in 1950, she was a founding member of the Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights.

Mrs. Bonner worked in real estate sales for W. Burton Guy during the 1950s, and later for WBAL-TV's "Call for Action" consumer line.

She was a member of the Woman's Club of Roland Park and Daughters of the American Revolution, and an avid bridge player and gardener.

Services were held Saturday at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, where Mrs. Bonner was a member.

She is survived by a son, Upton D. Bonner of Mount Airy; a daughter, Louise D. Bonner of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
