Five people were shot yesterday afternoon in West Baltimore in two unconnected incidents in a one-hour period, police said
Shortly after 2 p.m., two men were shot in the 300 block of N. Pulaski St. in what may have been an attempted armed robbery, police said. The victims were being treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
About an hour later, the second shooting took place in the 1800 block of W. Franklin St. Two men and a male juvenile were standing on the sidewalk when a man shot them and then fled.
The victims scattered. The juvenile was hit in the shoulder, police said, while one man was hit in the right eye and the other in the chest.
The two adults were being treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No arrests have been made.
The two shootings are unrelated, Officer Troy Harris said yesterday.
In an earlier incident in Northwest Baltimore, two men were shot and wounded at 4:35 a.m. yesterday.
Lenny Ngobu, 24, and Stephen Hobner, 23, were shot in the pre-dawn darkness in the 3400 block of Calloway Ave., police said.
No arrests have been made, police said.
