Margaret S. "Peggy" Buck, a homemaker, volunteer and family caregiver, died Tuesday of complications related to lung cancer at her North Baltimore home. She was 84.

Born Margaret Dorothea Sale in Windsor, Ontario, she attended what is now part of the University of Guelph.

Part of her childhood was spent in Australia, where her father managed Ford Motor Co. operations. He was later president of Ford of Canada, and Mrs. Buck owned and drove Fords throughout her life.

In 1942, she married Frederick R. Buck, president of Title Guarantee Co. in Baltimore. He died in 1974.

A volunteer at the old Church Home and Hospital in East Baltimore, she belonged to the Inner Wheel, the women's division of the Rotary Club. She was also a Baltimore Country Club member.

"She took care of her elderly relatives and friends," said her daughter, Margaret Buck Nicolls of Baltimore. "She gave of herself to so many other people."

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 5603 N. Charles St., where Mrs. Buck was a communicant and former altar guild member.

Mrs. Buck is also survived by a son, Frederick Robinson Buck Jr. of Baltimore; a brother, John Robert Sale of Oakville, Ontario; and four grandchildren.
