All-Metro center Josh Boone, a former South Carroll High School player now a post-graduate student at West Nottingham Academy near Rising Sun, has announced his intentions to attend the University of Connecticut.

He plans to sign a letter of intent when the early national signing period begins Nov. 13.

Boone averaged 20 points, 14.4 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game to earn Carroll County Player of the Year honors last season.
