Officer assaulted/arrest: A woman was arrested Monday and charged with assaulting Officer Fabion Laronde after he and Officer Raford Moten stopped her 2000 Jeep Cherokee in the 2300 block of Wilkens Ave. When Laronde approached the vehicle, the driver sped off, striking him and causing minor injuries. The Jeep was stopped moments later. Arrested was Jessica Jirsa, 19, whose address was not available. A second woman escaped.
Southern District
Theft/arrest: A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday when he tried to leave Wal-Mart at Port Covington without paying for clothing and disposable cameras valued at nearly $200.
Burglary: A man posing as a city water department inspector entered a house in the 300 block of Penn St. on Tuesday and stole more than $800 from a bedroom dresser.
Southeastern District
Robbery: Police were seeking a man who robbed Little Tavern in the 3500 block of Eastern Ave. of more than $90 about 3:30 a.m. Monday, by threatening a female employee with a box cutter.
Baltimore County
Garrison Precinct
Robbery: Two men attacked a man, 23, walking along Colonial Road near Alden Road about 4 a.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $40.
