Man found guilty of attempted murder

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Karlos Williams, a 21-year-old with a lengthy arrest record, has been convicted by a Baltimore County Circuit Court jury of attempted second-degree murder and three related charges. Jurors found him not guilty of attempted first-degree murder.

Sentencing for Williams, who was featured in "Justice Undone," The Sun's recent series on murder cases in Baltimore, is scheduled for next month.

Two years ago, Williams was acquitted of murder and attempted murder charges. Since then, he has been charged in two home invasions in the city, one home invasion in the county and the attempted murder.

He was convicted in city Circuit Court this summer on charges related to one of the home invasions; he has not been sentenced on those charges. This month, a Baltimore County Circuit Court judge sentenced Williams to 35 years for his involvement in the county home invasion. The county jury convicted him on the attempted-murder charge Friday.
