Networking fair to be held today at BWI Marriott

The seventh BWI Business Networking Fair, sponsored by Maryland Aviation Administration, will feature 40 business exhibitors.

The theme of the free event, to be held from 5 p.m. from 8 p.m. today at the BWI Marriott on West Nursery Road in Linthicum, is "Changing Environment, New Opportunities."

Aviation administration sets book fair for today

The Maryland Aviation Administration's book fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 991 Corporate Blvd. in Linthicum.

Proceeds from the fair, part of the 2002 Maryland Charity Campaign, will be used to support local health and human services programs.

Tourism academy plans Flavors of Fall fund-raiser

The Anne Arundel County Academy of Hospitality, Travel and Tourism will hold "Flavors of Fall" from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow at LaFontaine Bleu in Glen Burnie.

Proceeds will benefit the development of academy students and contribute to a scholarship fund.

Airport security hot line to start in December

Starting in December, suspicious activities that may have security implications for air travel can be reported to the Airport Watch hot line.

The service was developed by the Transportation Security Administration and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Information collected by the centralized reporting system will be distributed to the state's 36 public-use airports, to pilot groups and to individual pilots. The phone number has not been established.
