Judith Nock Flowers, who worked for 32 years at an auto-leasing company, died Tuesday at the Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care of complications from lung cancer. She was 66.

The Timonium resident was born Judith Penn Nock in Baltimore and raised in the city. Her father owned Nock's Garage in West Baltimore. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1954.

She married Miles Kenny Flowers in 1956. They had three sons and lived in Baltimore. She and Mr. Flowers divorced in 1972.

Before she retired, she worked as a client administrator at Peterson, Howell and Heather Inc.

Her son Brian Flowers of Sparks said that co-workers told the family that Mrs. Flowers was adept at many jobs within the company.

"We get the impression she ran the company," he said jokingly. His mother also did computer programming and was twice named PHH employee of the year, he said.

"She was a firm believer in 'If you're going to say something bad, don't say anything at all,'" her son said. "She always said, 'Silence speaks wonders.'"

Mrs. Flowers enjoyed playing tennis and attending local theater and ballet performances. Her son said she was "a fan of blackjack who had a brilliant mathematical mind," and she loved to get together with her sisters and visit Atlantic City.

Services were held Friday in Monkton.

She is survived by two other sons, Gary and Daniel Flowers of Baltimore; and sisters Natalie Kelly, Carole Schultz and Leslie Nock, all of Baltimore, Ann Peacher of Atlanta and Brenda Wilson of Unionville, Ind.
