Elaine H. Hess, 69, homemaker, volunteer

Elaine H. Hess, a homemaker and antiques collector, died Sunday of hepatitis at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was 69. The former Fullerton resident had moved to Annapolis more than two years ago.

Born Elaine Lambros in Baltimore and raised in Northeast Baltimore, she was a 1951 graduate of Eastern High School. She later studied at Villa Julie College, Goucher College and Towson State University.

In the early 1950s, she was a civilian Coast Guard employee at Curtis Bay.

An antiques collector, Mrs. Hess was a Women in Self Help volunteer, and in the 1960s, she led a Fullerton Cub Scout group.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Road.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas C. Hess; three sons, Thomas C. Hess Jr., James Hess and Nicholas Hess; her mother, Evelyn Lambros; two brothers, George and Nicholas Lambros; and two sisters, Anna Haught and Connie Houston. All are of Baltimore.
