ORIOLES: Announced that P Calvin Maduro and P Kris Foster cleared waivers and were assigned to Triple-A Ottawa.

RED SOX: Announced that contracts of hitting coach Dwight Evans, a former Oriole, first base coach Tommy Harper and bullpen coach Bob Kipper will not be renewed. Announced that bench coach Mike Stanley will not return in 2003 because of personal and family reasons.

PREDATORS: Claimed D Francis Bouillon from Canadiens in waiver draft.

RANGERS: Claimed RW Ronald Petrovicky from Flames in waiver draft.

STARS: Acquired D Stephane Robidas from Thrashers for future considerations; Atlanta had claimed him earlier in the day from Canadiens in waiver draft.


UNITED (MLS): Announced that D Brandon Prideaux had successful surgery to stabilize chronic stress fracture to fifth metatarsal in right foot.

WAVE (MISL): Traded rights to Matt Johnson and Aaron Susi to Sockers for 2003 second-round amateur draft pick, 2004 first-round amateur draft pick and financial considerations.
