Eleanor "Brice" Bramman Bishop, a longtime Baltimore teacher, died Sept. 30 of complications from diabetes at the Broadmead nursing home in Cockeysville. She was 80.

Born Eleanor Black and raised in Roland Park, Mrs. Bishop attended Roland Park Country School and Western High School, graduating in 1939. She earned a degree in chemistry from her mother's alma mater, Goucher College, in 1943.

Mrs. Bishop went on to teach math and science at various schools, including the Baltimore County Home and Hospital School, where she spent nearly two decades before retiring in 1990.

She was married to Walter H. Bramman for 47 years until his death in 1991. In 1995, she married George W. Bishop, who was killed in a car accident in 1999.

Mrs. Bishop loved to travel, spending time in Europe and Hawaii, said her sister, Joyce Black Franke, who lives in Pinehurst, N.C.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ashland Presbyterian Church in Cockeysville, 116 Ashland Road.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by two daughters, Patricia B. Ferguson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Barbara Bramman Reade of Baltimore; another sister, Jean Black McCausland of Lutherville; two grandchildren; and 21 nieces and nephews.
