Pumpkin Theatre begins its 35th season with a production of Beauty and the Beast Sunday at Hannah More Arts Center in Stevenson. He's a beast, she's a beauty, and he teaches her to look into her heart to find what real beauty is all about.

The classic fairy tale has been adapted by Baltimore playwright Laura Amy Schlitz from the original French version. Beth Weber stars as Beauty and Richard Lloyd stars as the Beast. Linda Chambers directs the production.

"Beauty and the Beast" runs at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Hannah More Arts Center, St. Timothy's School for Girls, 8400 Greenspring Ave., Stevenson. $10. Call 410-828-1814.
