Hudson, Charlotte L.

On September 21, 2002, CHARLOTTE L. (nee Exter) HUDSON; died of complications of lung cancer at the Hospice of Baltimore, Gilchrist Center. She had undergone treatment for three and a half years. CHARLOTTE was a life long resident of Hamilton. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1960 and attended Essex Community College. She was certified by the Library of Congress as a Braille Transcriber in 1976 and in that capacity performed braille services for numerous educational, government and business organizations. Her work career included employment at Ferris, Baker Watts, Bethlehem Steel Corp., IRS, Maryland School for the Blind, and Essex Community College. She was an expert seamstress and cross-sticher, an avid collector of turtle figurines and according to her husband a very classy lady. She is survived by her husband of 39 years George F. Hudson; two daughters Jenifer Boehm of Whitehall and Tammy Kappauf of Pasadena; three grandchildren Theresa Sewell, Cayla and Kyle Kappauf; two sons-in-law Bruce Boehm and Anthony Kappauf; her father Charles A.
