A caption accompanying a photograph on the front page of yesterday's editions stated incorrectly that Israeli soldiers were guarding blindfolded Palestinians who had surrendered. In fact, the prisoners were not blindfolded until after the photo was taken. Agence France-Presse transmitted the photo with incorrect caption information, then released a corrected caption yesterday morning.
