School administrators in Anne Arundel County will receive a 1 percent raise this school year and a 3 percent raise next year under a contract unanimously approved by the school board last night.

The two-year contract runs through June 30, 2004, and covers principals, assistant principals and subject-area coordinators at the central office. The raises are cost-of-living adjustments. This school year, the salary scale for principals ranges from $62,796 to $101,087, depending on the school's size.

In June, the school board approved a new contract for teachers that provides the same percentage increases as for administrators - 1 percent this school year and 3 percent next year.
