Jensen-Heimbecker, Kathleen

On August 7, 2002, KATHLEEN, died peacefully at London University Hospital, London Ontario, Canada. Kathleen was the daughter of the Rev. Dr. Philip and Kathleen Jensen, the Pastor caring for the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Owings Mills for many years. She was educated at Garrison Forest School and Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1947 with a degree in chemistry. As a young woman, Kathleen won many swimming and canoeing regatta in Muskoka Lakes, Canada. Married to Dr. Raymond Heimbecker, she settled in Canada and spent her time residing in Canada and the Bahamas. She was a tireless supporter of many worthwhile causes and was recognized by the Bahamian government for her many charitable endeavors. She is survived by her husband Dr. Raymond Heimbecker; four children, Raymond Jr. of Vermont, Kathleen Mooney of Collingwood, Canada, Anita Gilray of Clarksburg, Canada, and Connie Heimbecker of Arizona; godson Philip Jensen III of Owings Mills and seven grandchildren as well as her many, many dear friends. A son, Harry Heimbecker predeceased her in 1999. She was buried at All Saints Anglican Cemetery in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada.
