Sparks woman, 47, killed in crash at Gunpowder Falls

A 47-year-old Sparks woman was killed early Saturday when her van ran off Glencoe Road, became airborne, struck a tree and landed in the Gunpowder Falls, Baltimore County police reported.

The victim, Linda Sue Malone of the 14500 block of Quaker Bottom Road No. 2, was driving home about 12:40 a.m. after having dinner with friends when she lost control of the 1995 Chevrolet van on a curve, police said.

Malone was declared dead at the scene of the accident, according to police.
