An article in yesterday's editions incorrectly reported that two candidates for the House of Delegates in the 40th District, Belinda K. Conaway and Eric Easton, had violated state law by not filing campaign finance reports. The two candidates do not have to file the reports because their budgets are less than $1,000.

An article in Aug. 16 editions of The Sun reported that police supplemental funds were consolidated during the tenure of Bishop L. Robinson as police commissioner. In fact, Frank J. Battaglia was commissioner when the funds were combined.

The Sun regrets the errors.
