A 34-year-old woman was charged yesterday with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend in their West Baltimore home Monday afternoon -- one of two unrelated slayings in which police announced arrests.
Quintina N. Penn of the 1400 block of Madison St. is accused of stabbing Kenneth Rollins, 50, in the chest during a domestic dispute about 3:20 p.m., police said.
Rollins died about an hour later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police said Penn, Rollins and their 1-year-old son were the only people in the house when the stabbing occurred.
In the other case, 21-year-old Stephen Hodge was arrested yesterday on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting Aug. 24 of a motorist driving into a gas station in the city's Arlington community.
Hodge, of no fixed address, is charged with shooting Haydn Williams, 22, of the 4200 block of Fernhill Ave. in the head that night in the 4100 block of W. Belvedere Ave. The victim's brother, a passenger in the car whom police declined to name, was not injured.
The suspect was arrested by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force while he walked in the 3800 block of Parkview Ave. about 11 a.m.
