THE BALTIMORE SUN

An article on page 1A of Thursday's editions of The Sun incorrectly reported the number of patients a year receiving treatment by the emergency department of Beijing's Chaoyang Hospital. Physicians and nurses there treat about 90,000 patients a year.

An article in the editions of Aug. 27 incorrectly stated that jobs would be cut at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory because of the apparent loss of the Contour spacecraft. APL officials said most Contour team members have already moved to other projects. No jobs will be lost.

The Sun regrets the errors.
