Bunny Dugan, an interior designer, former children's clothing store executive and nurse, died Saturday of complications of liver disease at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was 65 and lived in the Village of Cross Keys.

She owned Splurge, an interior design business, and decorated homes in North Baltimore, Talbot County and in other states. She enjoyed renovating and decorating her homes.

In the 1970s and 1980s, she ran Little Women and Their Men, a children's shop in the Village of Cross Keys.

Born Hildegarde Pettit in Wexford, Ireland, she was known as Bunny. She earned a nursing degree from Whipps Cross Hospital in London. From 1958 to 1960, she was a nurse at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City, then was hired by University of Maryland Hospital, where she worked in neurosurgery. She left nursing in 1964.

A former chairwoman of the Maryland Historical Society's antique show, she also headed the Baltimore Opera Company's Opera Ball.

In 1961, she married Dr. Hammond James Dugan III, a pediatrician. They were divorced.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today at Shrine of the Sacred Heart, 1701 Regent Road.

Mrs. Dugan is survived by a son, Hammond James Dugan IV of Baltimore; a daughter, Cardiff Dugan Loy of Los Angeles; two brothers, Derek Pettit of Southampton, England, and Ronald H. Pettit of Wexford, Ireland; and four grandchildren.
