Man killed on I-95 Saturday is identified

Maryland State Police have identified a man who died early Saturday in a single-car accident on Interstate 95 in Howard County as William Shuemake of Chattanooga, Tenn.

Shuemake, 26, was driving north on I-95 about 3:10 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his 1993 Hyundai Excel, struck a guardrail near Vollmerhausen Road and became airborne, police said.

According to police, Shuemake was thrown from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
