The Governor's Commission to Study Poverty will meet at 6:30 p.m. and hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kahler Hall, 5440 Old Tucker Row, Columbia, to better understand life in poverty in the state's wealthiest county.

Members invite groups and individuals to speak at the hearing.
