The State Fair doesn't officially open until today, but children had a chance to try the rides and games last night.

In top photo, Brittany Manyweather, 11, of Baltimore tries to climb the "Indian Rope Ladder" to sound a buzzer to win a prize. She fell onto an air cushion about halfway up.
