Glendening appoints Annapolis resident to physicians board

Gov. Parris N. Glendening has announced the appointment of Dr. Ruth A. Robinson to the 15-member Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance. She will serve the remainder of a four-year term vacated by Eric Wargotz that ends June 30, 2004.

Robinson is a family physician, practicing adult and pediatric ambulatory care at Marlow Heights Kaiser Permanente. She served previously as the chief of medical staff for the Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base, medical operations squadron commander at Spangdahelm Air Base in Germany, and chief of medical services, chief of the emergency department and chief of family practice at Bitburg Air Base, also in Germany.

A resident of Annapolis, Robinson received her bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan in 1973 and her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University in 1978.
