N. Arundel Hospital announces additions to medical staff

North Arundel Hospital has announced these additions to its medical staff:

Dr. Lyn Dea, a family practice physician; Dr. Chimene Liburd, an internal medicine specialist; Dr. Mobit Negi, a geriatric and internal medicine physician; Dr. Jay Penafiel, a cardiologist; Dr. James Tansinda, an internal medicine specialist; Dr. Mya Thein, an internal medicine physician; and Dr. Syed Zaidi, a specialist in internal medicine.

Christine Crabbs also joined the staff of North Arundel Hospital as the outreach and education coordinator for the Cancer Center. She is responsible for developing and coordinating community education programs related to the prevention and early detection of cancer.

North Arundel doctor joins European medical society

North Arundel Hospital's Dr. George Linhardt recently was inducted in the European Hernia Society. The society is primarily limited to surgeons and other specialists in Europe. Linhardt was nominated by the society's founder, J.P. Chevrel of France, and the International Congress chairman of the society, R.K.J. Simmermacher of the Netherlands.

Linhardt is director of North Arundel's bariatric (obesity-related) surgery unit.
