Finksburg planning council sets forum for commissioner hopefuls

Finksburg Planning Area Council will sponsor a forum for all county commissioner candidates at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sandymount United Methodist Church.

The forum will be held instead of the regular monthly meeting.

The public is invited to attend the forum. The church is at 2101 Old Westminster Pike.

Democratic Club plans forum at senior center

Carroll County Democratic Club will hold a forum for Democratic candidates running for various offices, including county commissioner, House of Delegates, state Senate, register of wills and orphans court, at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Westminster Senior Center.

The forum is open to the public. The senior center is at 125 Stoner Ave.

GOP candidate Primoff to hold Ehrlich fund-raiser

Ed Primoff, Republican candidate for county commissioner and member of the Ehrlich for Governor campaign, will hold a fund-raiser for Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Primoff farm.

The event will feature an appearance by Ehrlich, a buffet dinner, hot air balloon rides and magician Arnold Duke, who will levitate someone from the crowd.

Tickets are $100 per person or $150 per family. Reservations are required.

The Primoff farm is at 7201 Old Washington Road (Route 97), Woodbine.
