Compton appointed account executive

New England Motor Freight appointed Dennis Compton as an account executive in its southwest Baltimore terminal. Formerly a district sales manager for American Freightways, the Bel Air resident will be responsible for developing new business accounts in the Baltimore area. He is a graduate of Washington College and is active in the Fallston area recreational youth basketball program as a coach.

Hargrove Inc. appoints Knight as creative director

Hargrove Inc. announced that Jason M. Knight was appointed creative director for the Lanham-based trade show and special-events exhibits company. The Baltimore resident will work with clients on trade shows and exhibitions and will assist in corporate marketing by reviewing and setting standards for the company.

Greif joins PSA Financial as account executive

PSA Financial Center announced that Jonathan Greif has joined the Lutherville-headquartered financial services company as an account executive. He will specialize in individual life, health and disability insurance, and group benefits and retirement. A graduate of East Carolina University, he is a former president of Insurance and Investment Solutions Inc. and was once with Berkshire Financial Group.

Gazin joins Ober/Kaler in commercial finance

Ober/Kaler announced that Eric D. Gazin has joined the Baltimore-based law firm as an associate in its commercial finance group. The Homeland resident is a law graduate of Emory University and was a Fulbright scholar in law and history at Warsaw University in Poland. Earlier, he was with the banking law department of the North Carolina law firm Moore & Van Allen.

Health care

Hospital names Buchanan to environmental post

Maryland General Hospital has named Barry J. Buchman as director of environmental services. Formerly a regional director with Mid-America Metals, the Pennsylvania State University graduate was also a vice president of operations for the Bethlehem unit of ServiceMaster.
