Southeastern District
Burglary/Arrest: A bench grinder valued at $125 was taken about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from a warehouse owned by R&R; Events Inc. in the 4200 block of O'Donnell St. Police arrested a 41-year-old suspect about an hour later after a witness provided a description, and the grinder was recovered.
Burglary: A woman's purse was taken from her desk drawer at an office building in the 400 block of S. Broadway between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The black bag contained a credit card, checkbooks, a check for $1,000 and identification.
Theft from vehicle: A black bag containing makeup and clothing was stolen between 9:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday by someone who broke into a 1990 Buick parked in the 500 block of N. Caroline St.
Theft from vehicle: Someone took the front tag, HWB 815, from a 1988 Volkswagen parked in the 100 block of N. Rose St. between noon Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Southern District
Theft from vehicle: Coins, a Startech flip-up cell phone, a telephone charger and a blue gym bag containing clothing, all valued at $410, were taken from the front passenger seat by someone who broke into a black 2000 Honda Civic on a lot at Harbor Court Hotel in the 500 block of Light St. between 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Southwestern District
Theft from vehicle: Someone bent in half the driver's side door of a black two-door 1992 Honda sedan in the 900 block of Arion Park Road before 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, and stole two Vega speakers valued at $150.
Western District
Burglary: A captain at the firehouse in the 5300 block of Woodbrook Ave. reported Tuesday night that firefighter study materials worth $400 were taken from a back-office filing cabinet between July 25 and Saturday.
Baltimore County
Wilkens Precinct
Burglary: A bicycle valued at $110 was taken from an unlocked shed in the 200 block of West Open Drive between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Burglary: Thirty dollars was taken from a house in the 4500 block of Ann Road. The rear window of the house had been smashed. The theft was discovered about 7:30 a.m. yesterday.
Woodlawn Precinct
Burglary: A 27-inch television and two gold rings were reported taken from a house in the 100 block of Village Pine Court. The theft was discovered about 7:30 a.m. yesterday.
Garrison Precinct
Theft: A satellite dish was taken from a home on Al Hanna Circle. The theft was reported at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
