St. Alphonsus parish in Woodstock sets festival Aug. 10-11

St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church, 10800 Old Court Road, Woodstock, will celebrate its 87th Annual Summer Festival from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 10 (with Mass celebrated at 7 p.m.) and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 11 (with Mass celebrated at noon.)

A meal of fried chicken, ham salad and corn on the cob will be served in the church hall. Carryout will be available. Rides and games are planned.

Youth singers to perform at Glen Mar church

The Continentals, a group of young vocalists and technicians, will perform in its concert tour - "Live It Up!" - at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Glen Mar United Methodist Church.

The night will feature contemporary Christian music and personal testimonies. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted for the American Leprosy Missions' Campaign for Cure. Information: 410-465-4995.
